Yay for focusing on lengthening my attention span and regaining my colorful vocabulary
ive made a brave decision and im doing a detox/"intentional consuming" week with no tiktok, no twitter, no short-form content altogether and im only allowed to watch shows on dvd(because no autoplay and i have to get up to change out the disc every few episodes)(except for yellowjackets on streaming)
i can only watch shows or very long youtube videos between 12 and 2 and 7 and 10. im not allowed to multitask either except listen to music while collaging, and instagram only after 8pm(never happens but i try)
im on day 4 and honestly its not as bad as i thought it would be and i recommend! being bored is necessary sometimes. my brain is already so much quieter, and im better at paying attention to my long youtube videos i enjoy!
good for ur brain and u can seem cool and mysterious when someone asks if youve seen the newest trend.
ive been off the stuff two years⦠it might have permanently damaged my brain⦠but im free!! š¦

itās only been a day but now I wanna sketch or somethin instead of doom scrolling through videos that donāt enrich my life.
Deleted Twitter today and then was like hey why donāt I delete TikTok too.
So far so good. kind of feels like I cut out junk food. Less brain rot and eye strain happening over here.
(unfortunately instagram feels too real to part with I donāt know why. but maybe one day...)
