This is his best album since Yeezus and to be completely honest with you this might be my favorite Kanye era ever.
Ignoring allllllllll of the social media bullshit, this is an insane and incredible project rollout and if you have 18 minutes of time to listen you’d probably agree with me.

i truly don’t know if i think this is a work of absolute genius and one of the best albums ever, or if i’m just bugging and it’s complete shit. like people could reach either conclusion and i’d say fair play. but i think i probably love it?

I don't think a lot of people understand the absolute genius of this album. In music it is important to learn how to separate the art from the artist. As with Kanye West he is a very controversial person but his older music is unmatched to anything I've ever listened too. Despite him being a lot of things I would say don't let his actions prevent you from listening to his music. Give College Dropout a try

a concept album that weaves a soul, funk and jazz infused narrative with the rapper's struggles balancing the discriminated background he came from versus the hypocritical position of power he ended up in
yeah yeah, everybody and their mama has talked about this album, we all know it's good, what else is there to say? well namely, a decade later, this album is not only as poignant as ever, but it truly feels like it will become timeless
the cohesiveness and the way it truly feels like you're being taken on a hero's journey is where this thing truly shines. the narrative crafting on this is something you almost never see anymore. the LYRICAL MOTIFS my god
and even if it didn't have all that, it's got hits!! alright? these walls? king kunta? wesley's theory? like come awn
i still cry to u every fucking time i listen to it
anyways yeah it's good not news keep it movin
(my absolutely chaotic evil thought is that somebody should adapt this into a musical like green day's american idiot it probably won't be good but i'm morbidly curious)

Newest weird woman acquisition: the cute shy girl from my MBA program with a curly bob and red highlights.
Shes so quiet and shy, we’ve had every class together so far over 3 semesters and barely ever spoke aside from her saying happy Valentine’s Day to me in February. Fast forward to this semester I sit next to her first day of finance class and decide to Be friendly and chat. She’s quiet but cool so I get her number, offer to maybe study later in the semester (which is a mild courtesy as I was lowkey just gaining new allies in the class to assist with cheating).
But once I started texting her about class we just never stopped texting, and now I think we’re actively flirting? Shes into dark romance novels? she brought one of her novels to class yesterday and after class she snuggled up against me in the hallway and made me read a (very graphic) page about a girl getting fucked by a gun?
