listening to my friends talk
did not mean to imply that I dont usually listen to them talk, I like making friends from my two different social groups interact and listen to them find a topic they could talk about for hours on end and listen to them like my own personal video essay podcast, but I love the podcasters personally. Highly recommended, they make me feel whole and like a person. :)

my favorite genre of podcast is two professors talking about their areas of expertise. lingthusiasm and overthink come to mind. i’ve formed deeply parasocial relationships with these people.

listening for comfort, not intellect
It can get so tiring consuming media because its a 'classic' or it's 'necessary to understand x'. Improving taste and furthering your education is obviously a great thing but it can be worn out just like any other thing! Hence, my preference for the 'nevermind' podcast, it feels like I'm in on a conversation with friends which is the -ultimate- form of expanding your horizons because it doesn't require effort!!! Finding things you can go to for comfort is a great way to find spark. "It's the little things" as they say...
