when i was a kid i had these exact same pencil toppers that i adored, and the other day my mind resurfaced them to my consciousness for reasons completely alien to me. it’s very unclear why exactly putting goofy faces and waving arms on inanimate objects scratches something in our ape brain but i’m honestly kinda fascinated with it. i mean the ideas has been around for a long time, just look at the infamous let’s all go to the lobby dancing snacks. not to mention will vinton’s california raisins, the beloved dried grape mascots that dominated the eighties.
let’s face it, walking-talking food is here to stay. i mean who doesn’t love a smiling tomato with arms and legs?
