ever since the death of the twitter circle i have been resorting to posting a picture of my eyebrow or my algebra homework as the background of my deranged thoughts on the good old cf story

using instagram as a diary

IG is so fucking boring these days. I've had enough. I post intimate and weirdly overthetop "poems" of sorts about the nitty gritty details of my life. I lose followers with every post and that gives me such a rush. Shake up that algorithm and let me know what's REALLY going on in your life!

I don’t like posting anymore because on Twitter i get mostly comments from unhinged right wingers and on Instagram from hs and college friends who think im weird
But on the perfectly imperfect app? Who knows

instagram: bad, but i still have a soft spot for it

Like many of us, I've been on social media since early adolescence. It's part of who I am for better or worse.
Now I work in social media, so I'm not really able to remove myself from it completely. I need to be in the know about trends and new features :/ Sometimes it's exciting, but I know it's so bad for me (and everyone). I'm also 30 now and I'm starting to feel like some online spaces aren't really for me anymore. Also MZ can smd!
But I do love stories, especially close friends stories. I find it to be one of the quickest ways to share my life with most of my friends. I can find community events, mutual aid opportunities, Also good for lurking.
