I’m a fan of Citarella’s work which explores online subcultures. His show Doomscroll is adjacent to this research and features a range of guests incl. Brace Belden, Quinn Slobodian, Trevor Paglen and lots more. Episodes have a range of tone but always excellent interviews and compelling info

he's had a podcast for a while, but it got youtube-ified not too long ago. he gets an interesting array of guests from different corners of the political spectrum and i've quite enjoyed.

if you're tired of the fart-huffers that usually pass for "public intellectuals" in american discourse, doomscroll podcast (and all of joshua citarella's work) is probably the breath of fresh air you've been looking for. it certainly is for me each episode centers around an interview with someone who's in some way at the crossroads of politics and the internet, and the range of guests he's got on is immense - established academics, random internet weirdos, the guy from The 1975 - but he's always able to ground their conversation in the larger context of the modern age. it genuinely feels like a piece of media for our time, instead of engaging in the infantile 60s counter-culture cosplay that a lot of these projects tend to fall into. can't recommend enough

Cyberpunk thriller, 70s style paranoia superimposed on a dystopic y2k backdrop. minidisc macguffin, Juliette Lewis performs at an industrial rave and aphex twin cameos! Very fun watch.
