If you have a tiny human and you want to bring them to cool places outside you should use this carrier. They are expensive but pretty easy to find used. Very comfortable for both parent and baby and lots of storage for snacks.
She’s so cute and doubles as a diaper bag for me. I can fit diapers, wipes, snacks, a change of clothes, water… I’m not just a mom, I’m a cool mom?? Or I’m just Mary Poppins. (best found used - much less expensive lol)
They have a lot of designs, many colorful. And despite the whimsy and quirkiness of some ot their designs, these are Durable. My camera sling I bought from them is a decade old and is still going strong. Anyway, I linked to a smaller one that I think fits your needs, but poke around their site and see if anything strikes your fancy.
A more utilitarian rec. This one packs down small but can expand larger when necessary. The strap is removable so it can double as an organizer bag in larger luggage.
I spend a lot of time driving and listening to podcasts. This is my favorite podcast. Alie is an incredibly charismatic host and gifted science communicator. Each episode is the coolest, weirdest, funniest and often most moving science lesson you could dream of. Good episodes to start with are Erethizonology aka Porcupines and Foraging Ecology aka Eating Wild Plants.
Robin Wall Kimmerer is my hero. This book is so deeply nourishing and empowering. We need more wisdom like this in our lives. Once you finish this, read “The Serviceberry.”
I love birds. Bird Collective has rad bird merch designed by incredible artists. A percentage of sales supports bird conservation. Go watch and listen to some birds outside. They have so much to teach us. Also in case you are wondering, my favorite bird is the Veery.
