Love this dude who cooks food from old colonial cookbooks with the same methods they wouldāve used back then. Informational, calming, pbs vibes. Also the food usually comes out looking so shitty bc 18th century peasants only had like 3 spices available, so thatās pretty funny to me, but on occasion it actually looks very yummy
Heās such a silly dude. All his cookbooks are more of a guiding light than they are rigid rules. He teaches you how to make some great plates, but by no means does it feel like heās forcing you to do it exactly his way. Iāve always enjoyed his cooking videos for that reason; itās never āBoil this for 20 minutesā itās āBoil this until it feels good.ā Theyāre def more American classic style cooking but I think thereās a plethora of wisdom in his recipes.
Chef John. Itās a popular cooking youtube channel. But me and my wife love it and use it when we wanna try new things, or remember how to make obvious stuff. Heās got a calm, soothing, kinda ASMR kind of voice andĀ I sometimes just watch his videos to relax.
Ok stay with me here. Too much public filming. This is going to discourage good weird public activity. We need people being weird in public. Odd dancing, carrying around insane items, freaked out fits, etc. Instead of a quick vid to show your friends, or, god forbid, *get internet clout*, people should be sketching the scene and describing it in colorful language. Now you have to take accountability for your opinion on the matter, your draftsmanship and writing gets better, and the public freaks have plausible deniability in the job interview. This goes for drunk man on the street tik tok videos as well. Put on a newsboy cap and start jotting. There should be exceptions like intentional performances or heinous crimes of course. Iām open to other exceptions I just canāt think of any rn. This will never be a reality but i can try
