Madeon put this on YouTube to celebrate 10 years of Adventure. I've been listening to it non-stop ever since.
That album means so much to me. I originally bonded with my first love over our love of Madeon. For a high school project, I named a fictional city after Madeon. I saw him during his Adventure Live tour in Toronto about 10 years ago. It was my second concert ever. I still have the band tee.

i'm an appreciator of musical cohesion, and while that normally manifests as being a sucker for good transitions, i also love when an artist's discography has such a signature, cohesive sound that they make connections where you never would have thought to make them. that's an extremely long winded way of me saying THE MASHUPS HERE ARE INSANE. around the world/harder, better, faster, stronger is the most famous but showts OWT television rules the nation/crescendolls that part where the crowd goes nuts at the end makes me wanna cry
i'd actually highly recommend looking up videos from the actual set, as not only are there differences between the album and the set, but there's differences between the different times they performed it depending on the show. happy hunting. robots 5evr

The energy palpably shifted as soon as Hamilton Leithauser started playing โA 1000 Timesโ last night. And what a thing it is, to share space with a bunch of people you donโt know being moved by the same perfect piece of music.
The last time I heard this song live, I went alone to see him play in DC. It was 2017, I was very single, and feeling a bit despondent about the state of the world (living in DC during that period was just hard). What a wild form of time travel it is to see him so many years later in Chicago with my husband sitting next to me! Little lonesome heartbroken Sandy would have loved to know that everything was going to be okay. And that, my friends, is the magic of music. It transports us, unlocks portals, connects us to people we donโt know, moves us, tells stories, and creates a mood.
If youโre looking for a good entry to Hamilton Leithauser, I highly recommend his album with Rostam Batmanglij titled โI Had A Dream That You Were Mineโ. Not a single song is worth skipping.

This is a 10 year old concert recording of Future Islands. Itโs one of my favorite Youtube hidden gems, and itโs probably one of the best live recordings Iโve ever heard. Highly recommend the versions of โBack in the Tall Grass,โ โLighthouse,โ and โTin Manโ

I found out a friend annotates every book he reads. I donโt think I could ever do that, but I would love to read something heโs annotated. More than that I would love to read a book someone has specifically annotated with me in mind.

This was at some company event he was hired to work at. I was mostly upset that the Totally Spies graphic tee was being obstructed by the balloon plane.
