It was here before us, and it will be here long after we're gone. We're just passing through.
Anyway, this winter has been very mild and weird, so for once, I think I can actually embrace an early spring without being disappointed.
I went on a walk yesterday, and maybe it was the time-change exhaustion, or just the sunny euphoria, but I couldn't help but notice all of the birds out and about singing their songs - so much so that I was repeatedly singing "the birds are back in town" in my head, and really enjoyed imagining that they were all just as stoked to see me. It was a nice little frequency to find myself within.
