SHlohmo - For Tha SUmmer mixes

surprised i haven't rec'd these sooner as they're a staple of my summer rotation. if you were a teenager during peak trap music like i was, these mixes will take you back to sweaty high school parties in basements and backyards and the back seat of your friend's car. shlohmo takes the classics of the era and puts them over beats that sound like 90s east coast hip hop, elevator music, 2000s era bling rap, and generally just re contextualizes songs that all had the same style trap beats into something much more laid back and distinct. he only made 4 of them but i would say they're best listened to in one sitting as the soundtrack to your next pool lounge. they all also had some sick custom visualizers made to accompany them which are an aesthetic experience in and of themselves. in the words of the man himself: Put it on the big screen at the BBQ. put it on the radio while you driving with tacos on your lap. put it on ur phone while u sleepin under that tree. big heat wave lounge style with a plate + a red cup in hand. this ones 4 tha summer.
