Hochman writes in such a fun, engaging way about her conversations with various women all over the US on their nontraditional relationships, families, living and working setups and about her own story...
I also saw her tell a story at the Moth in 2024 about being a parent, and it was interesting to read this book that she wrote in the nineties when she was unsure if she would ever have children. I love this book!
