okay my mother has been putting me on to Matchbox 20 for like my entire life but i’ve only just started to actually listen to them and its been life changing. They’re moving up FAST on my list of favorite artists. FAVORITE SONG of theirs so far : Queen of New York City !! It’s so beautiful. The lyrics are really moving and paint a really pretty picture. The song feels very warm and familiar to me: when i listen to it I feel like im hugging my best friend for hours. I think i love it so much because i do associate it with my bsf because it sounds just like her and being around her 🔥🔥🔥 but it’s also just suchhhh a good song omg like for anyone !! OOH BONUS it’s literally Maine by Noah Kahan but different genre (and place!!). but yeah same vibes exactly it’s so on point it’s insane

ahhhhhh i love this song. i wouldn’t say it’s special to me for any particular reason at the moment, but i’ve just moved to a new city and i’ve been playing it literally every single time i drive anywhere or play any music at all. ITS SO GOOD!!! i just know for the rest of all time i’ll associate it with moving here, it’s like a not yet realised specialness!!!!!

I've loved this album since high school and still rediscover it every few months, less and less lately, but every time I do it reminds me why i bought it on cassette online so I could play it in my shitty bluetooth-less Volkswagen driving around the jersey shore. Such a perfect album. Pink chimneys in Maine Couldn't keep me away.

🎵I’m a stitch away from making it, and a scar away from falling apart🎵 Ok I have a thousand favorite songs but I was just thinking a couple hours ago about how I saw Fall Out Boy a few years ago for my 30th birthday. They had a “magic 8 ball” part of their set where they chose a random song to play in each city. They played this and I started bawling when I heard the first note. It’s my all time favorite Fall Out Boy song. The next few minutes was me ugly crying and trying to catch my breath enough to sing along. I was so full of love and gratitude in that moment. I’m crying now typing this. I felt the same sense of wonder that I did when I heard it the first time at 14. I felt blessed.
