checking on seedlings every few hours

i planted some seeds indoors and once they started sprouting, i swear they grow so fast i can see it happening before my very eyes. whenever i check them, they are bigger than before. a quiet thrill.

The simple act of putting a seed in the ground,

has taught me so much about like…faith and patience...& while caring for/harvesting plants, flowers and veggies has its own gradient of reward, this cursory lesson still hits every time imo. If you have access to even a friend‘s garden or somewhere to sow something you can check back in/care for I recommend it. Not exactly one of those ‘your garden is a revolutionary act’ types, but I do believe that there is a lot on offer in growing anything, starting with the alchemical-feeling activity of sprouting 1 seed into plant.

i love my friends

we were yelling on top of our voices while playing mafia and i was suddenly overwhelmed by my love for everyone in the room and went quiet for the rest of the night. ended the night with long warm hugs all around. tell your friends you love them more often!

SLOWDIVE!!!!

i was 16 when youtube first recommended a song called 'sugar for the pill' by some band i had never heard of. i clicked, i loved, and 2 days later i was deep down the slowdive rabbithole. and being a teenage boy in India i NEVER thought i'd see them live. but life has a way of working out, and my 16 year old self was OVER THE MOON at their concert last night. i don't think life will ever be the same again. thank you slowdive, i love you (but i realllyyy wished they played golden hair, i was soo ready to weep like a baby hiasdhlfadsf)
