He wrote capitalist realism, exiting the vampire castle, many other published lectures but he created kpunk (accessible online blog) which is super cool. He was an awesome dude with so many ideas. Heβs great to read whether you agree with him or not.
I honestly hadnβt heard about this book until I saw a shit ton of memes about it a few years ago. Capitalist Realism is a very worthwhile read and I can definitely see why it's so popular now. Fisher does a great job articulating the cultural experience of neoliberalism. This book set me on the right path in life. I also got much smarter and more attractive after reading it.
There's a certain necessary tragedy to Postcapitalist Desire as it is incomplete, given his death in the midst of his lectures, but I find it to be his best work, as it articulates the present condition, psychological, hell, psychopolitical (?), as we relate to each other, and how desire might relate to late (-er, est?) capitalism!
