I have recently made the bold decision to make eye contact with AND smile at whosoever I pass in this large worm eaten apple of a city. the cold and indifferent “New York attitude“ is, I have decided, for yuppies and transplants. Real ones are confident enough to just be a normal ass person and smile at people. Most of the time I get a smile back, if I don’t, it’s their loss….
