Last night I was kept awake at 1:30am by an incessant scratching and biting sound coming from my ceiling. At first I thought it might be pounding rain, but it was gnawing in one spot for too long. I then noticed a bright orange light start flickering within my fire alarm. I located the sound, and considered running for the broom to knock on the ceiling and scare it away, instead deciding to let it do whatever. I half expected a possum to fly down onto my belly. Maybe a top secret spy possum who would carve a perfect circle into the ceiling and rappel into my bedroom. Anyway, it sounded huge. I have opted for telling nobody anything (my roommates, landlord) and keeping the creature my own secret.

I found a spider on my bathroom wall, I decided to chat with her for a little while. I warned her not to crawl on me when i’m sleeping or on my bed, and kindly asked not to have babies. I also gently asked her not to go into my dirty laundry or when I put it in the washing machine, she will die. I don’t wanna kill her, she lives in my house too, since she can’t pay rent I asked for some pest control activities, I hope she will agree to these terms.
my little silent roommate, I have decided it’s name will be Fern. I hope Fern will bring me luck for my exam tomorrow, next time I see her I shall tell her about it.

my biggest fear is bugs and spiders especially daddy long legs spiders cause they’re disgusting HOWEVER sometimes i let it slide if i find one in my room cause it’s not close enough to bother me
one lived in my wardrobe for months cause it was out of the way and i would only have to see it if i got clothes out so that was fine but then it just disappeared so rip i guess unless it’s living in some corner
just found one this morning in a corner under my shelves and u know what it can live! i literally can’t see it unless i bend down from a certain angle so whatever as long as i don’t see it move it’s fine

This Cy Twombly playlist was particularly good, I also find peace in some Monet playlists. This does also apply to other forms of media, such as authors and influencers, films etc. I watched the Substance and found a lot of European 2000s house music through those lists. I just finished Cookie Mueller’s Walking Through Clear Water in A Pool Painted Black (apologies if it’s not the exact title of the book, I’m not motivated to look it up at the moment) but her lists are full of Nico and The Velvet Underground.
