Watched this last night and holy shit, what a beautifully shot movie. Thereā€™s not much in the way of a plot, but it doesnā€™t matter. This is just a feast for the senses. Josh Oā€™Connor in the dirty rumpled linen suit is also a cash look. Watch it now.

@SALAD_VALET i love this for you! i feel like some part of me knew these types of sculptures had iffy provenance but seeing it laid bare in La Chimera gave me the ick for how so much art ends up in museum and private collections. That said, i loved the use of magical realism in this movie very very deeply. Wish I had seen it in theaters!

Oh good god itā€™s another perfect movie. Every single shot was so beautifully composed I couldnā€™t quite even keep up, I was still processing each one by the time it changed frames. I loved the character of Arthur sensitive and a little evil, complex and also just a man with a ā€œdivining rod.ā€ Excellent comentary on capitalism and greed. Beautifully paced film, and just overall an absolute treasure. I need to see it sixteen moreĀ times

I donā€™t believe in ranking things- restaurants, albums, books, movies, athletes anything, top x lists whatever. I think itā€™s a waste of time honestly. Even with a completely objective criterion whatā€™s the point.
