I love the rain. I love the flowers. I love the birds. I love the worms. I love the hope I feel realizing itโs not cold anymore. It makes me feel alive again!! We got married April 7 just because I wanted something to celebrate in April :)

my birthday month!! the april showers make for amazing naps, it finally gets warmer but not too warm. the flowers are blooming! tulips, daffodils, azaleas, i even love the dandelions. everyone comes out of hibernation and has a new lust for life after being cooped up in the house all winter. all the great fruits start making a comeback: strawberries, mango, oranges. AND THE CLOTHES!! warm enough for short sleeves but you can still layer a cute jacket. i also feel like thatโs when new music releases start back up. all around, just a fantastic time.

Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.
Winter kept us warm, covering
Earth in forgetful snow, feeding
A little life with dried tubers.
