Daedelus - Righteous Fists of Harmony
Puzzle - Places We Choose Not to Look
Salami Rose Joe Louis - Zlaty Sauce Nephew quite different genres but these albums feel so complete they manage to transport me to a different world
I've reccd these both before in a separate ask about favorite albums for this exact reason. I love when an album is built in sequence. HIT ME HARD AND SOFT by Billie Eilish Unreal Unearth by Hozier
I guess maybe specifically De Selby pt1 and 2 I believe Dawn FM by The Weeknd also does this
a landmark record for me,
the variety of the record is astounding, yet everything still feels very cohesive, this sense of journey is typically not as effectively portrayed in compilation albums such as this one, but “Lost Blues and Other Songs” pulls it off with an effortless subtlety, West Palm Beach and Gulf Shores feel like the climax of the record, but every track before and after them is equally rewarding in their own way, Ive become more and more perceptive about different things on every track,
the record’s purity results in the perfect encapsulation of Oldham’s appeal
they have that easy listen to too folk rock indie sound with surprising soul crushing songs like Hawke's "Therese", "Over", and "Mermaid Bar" and Waterhouse's, "Model, actress, whatever" and "everybody breaks up anyway"
I keep running to work or running home from work, and these days I’ve been trying to slow down a bit and connect some more with the world around me. I started petting these stray kitties that live near my house. I wonder if we can become friends!
lately I’ve been into taking pics during the day and compiling them all onto one photo to capture its vibe like my morning coffee, a meal, or a cute cat I’ve been petting on the corner of a street graffitis help to visually strengthen things but sometimes I just incorporate some graphic elements I find online also, I’m obsessed with archiving interesting amateur posters, especially ones about lost pets while one can provide unique graphic and text choices, the other can invoke really emotional responses from me love a one glance story
