if i need to travel from point a to point b i may as well do it on a boat. at one point in time i did need to temporarily ban myself from taking the ferry home from work because i’d always purposely miss my stop to enjoy more time on the boat and then have to trek back an extra hour on the subway which was certainly not the most convenient. worth it though.
for places that require lots of driving its so easy to overlook cool forms of public transit like a ferry.
took one last night and was reminded how serene and great of a time it is. plus the skyline is just stunning
On a sunny day, just hop from ferry to ferry even. Or choose a set destination and walk around while you wait for the next one back. Sit on top, pop an edible, and enjoy the boating life for ~$3 a pop.
many times it will not go well; this is a lesson in humility and resilience and your friends will have something to laugh at. they will grow out faster than you think. when the fringe trim is a success, the world becomes a more beautiful place.
