I was inspired by Eddie Burback’s YouTube video and I’ve been only using my phone to call, text, or email for the past week. Not checking it constantly emphasizes that I actually do have free time, and has made me happier. Why do I feel like I’m always the bearer of bad news on here lol!

i once broke my phone and due to unforeseen circumstances I wasn’t able to get a new one for a couple weeks so I was forced to take time without it, and to be honest, it was beautiful! its nice to say “ah my phone wasn’t on me / my phone was broken so I couldn’t respond.“ since then I’ve done some time intentionally leaving my phone at home when I leave to have a bit of solace and experience the world around me for a moment without needing headphones in or checking notifications constantly. great stuff!!

my phone broke and I was broke. so I had to go though 2 months of no phone. I have never been so peaceful. I now know the route to get to places (because I had no maps). Got the habit of only replying to texts at 6:30pm and make plans for the next day at that time. I read so many books and was so notinfluenced by social media. Even the things I was eating changed a lot, no more fast meals you can make in less then 5 min, instead I asked my grandma what to cook and guys it’s awesome. BREAK YOUR PHONE

I got inspired by the Eddy Burback video linked! now my room mate and I are going without a phone for a week, maybe more if we enjoy it! im super excited, there's so many things i'm looking forward to - most of all the internet being a *physical* place as well as a digital one, where I have to come back to my house and use my desktop as a portal into a digital world like our family PC when i was a kid. anyone else thinking of doing this? what are your thoughts? would love to chat with some new people with all this newfound free time! :D

I’m not official with it in any way, but my work gets a lot of mail and I save all of the stamps. It’s fun to put them in my notebook and see them all together!
