obviously this applies to old photos but also recent ones - i have this terrible afiction where when my friends and i take pictures together i’ll think i look terrible in all of them and get depressed but then a few months later ill go back and find some really nice pictures - it’s always a good reminder that i’m in my head too much

I don’t always want to post them but I find that getting into the habit of taking lots of photos, good and bad, both with people in them and not, makes me want to keep them safer than just on instagram. that’s my emotional support folder… get away from her…

i’m no photographer but having something to look back on old memories while at the same time making some sort of art out of it really brings me a sense of comfort. time flies by but I will always have these moments to look back on

taking and looking back at pictures, with the sudden hit of nostalgia will always make me feel human. idk what it is but looking at a physical image of what you took (what your life used to be like) somewhat grounds you in a way.

I made this card for my best friend’s birthday and I’m very proud of it - I drew things that remind me of her like her cats and her fav movie as well as photos of some of my fav memories together - it took so long because there were so many tiny pieces of paper to cut out but I just put on a movie and in the background and had fun crafting which was actually very relaxing
