Some of my online-friends Iโve known & loved for about/nearly 15 years at this point. Sure, not every friendship lasts, but that happens offline too.
i met you when i was four. we havenโt lived in the same city since high school. no matter the time or distance we always come back here. friendship is a beautiful thing.
I moved countries when I was younger and one of the things I've felt super guilty about recently is not being as close to my childhood friends as I used to be, so I have been making the concious effort to reach out again. Not letting go of friendships that you really value is super important I think.
the department store music playing overhead - extra points if its jazz, warm interactions with other shoppers, befriending the cashiers, finding those treasures you never would have found online, going out for coffee after your shop, feeling so pleased you can support these local businesses because they make your day that much better
sometimes when i go on walks i think about how cool it is that my body can take me anywhere i want and i donโt even have to think about it. like, i just do it. i can just go and experience all the life i want. itโs a very freeing thought
