My day today

This morning I woke up at 7 and laid around until about 7:45. I ended up being ready for work early so I went out and got myself a bagel (everything with sundried tomato cc) and an apple juice. I drove to work and sat in my car listening to a podcast while I ate and waited for it to be time to clock in. At work: it was so busy today. Several events in town this weekend so we got slammed, I don’t think I sat down or stopped for the entire time, plus I stayed on about 45 minutes past when I was supposed to clock out. We played some silly songs though (I.e., seinfeld theme, ghost busters, kiss me thru the phone, etc) and made it through the shift. After work I drove to my landlord‘s house to drop off rent, very old fashioned. On the way there I stopped at a vintage pop up in town and caught up with a friend who was selling there. This is somewhat routine for us and usually the only time we talk, but it’s always nice to hear about her life in these moments. I went for a quick thrift run after that where I ended up getting a pair of jeans, some overall shorts, and a tank top. The man who checked me out had a shirt on that read, “drink water, love hard, fight racism.” From there I came home and made myself some beans and rice for late lunch/early dinner and then wasted a lot of time watching greys anatomy: my latest trash tv obsession. during the greys session i got a text from a friend asking if i wanted to join her and her roommates for some bananagrams at a little bar in town. Of course i did. I won 1/4 of the bananagrams games with words such as lurid and clitoris. I ate some fries with feta sauce and drank a guinness while we played. I underestimated the healing power of fries and a Guinness. After this we decided to go to a show that some friends were playing at in town at a different bar, we walked, stayed at the show for only a brief time as it was loud as shit, smoked a lil, and decided to call it a night. This is a nice way to reflect on the day and notice how Sweet and well-rounded it was :)

Beach day

my friends are laying beside me taking naps in the sun while I write this. The boy I like is snoring ever so slightly and it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever heard. I am about to go home warm and happy and tired. I am happy about today

My day today

I woke up early again to work. It was tough to get out of bed this morning and I was sleeping really hard, but I made it happen with just enough time to eat a banana before work. today at work was a dream compared to the craziness of the last couple shifts, and my coworkers and I got to do a lot of chatting on topics ranging from cults, to movies, to anthropology, to love lives, to our shared love for johnny cash. Straight from work I went to a “galentines” get together with some of my friends that I’ve had since childhood. Friends like this are special because it almost feels like a family reunion whenever you get together. The level of comfort is unmatched. i wasn’t planning to stay very long but we ended up watching Barbie Swan lake, barbie island princess, wicked, and part of the Grammy. I love my friends. I’m home now after listening to a Chloe sevigny playlist (that I actually found on a rec on this app) for the drive home. It was awesome. Hoping to sleep as well tonight as I did last night.

My mom’s making fajitas tonight and I’m so excited! My boyfriend is also going to come over and his bday is tomorrow I’m so excited to see him! I think we’re also going to get high and watch cars 2 so I’m just super excited thinking about tonight!
