There’s a weird phenomenon in New York where you keep all your contacts from everyone else who might take something away from you - it’s mostly oriented around career. BUT! Guess what? Nothing matters. Who cares? People are going to work with who they want to work with, you might as well put in a good word, I believe karma is a real thing. sometimes i think i get so caught up in the stuff i share that i forget it also means a lot to my friends when i take their recommendations. ive been more mindful of watching or listening to the stuff they send in a timely manner and genuinely feel that ive become better friends w people ive known for years. it’s crazy how there’s always more to learn abt the people in ur life and it can be uncovered by doing something as simple as watching a movie or listening to a song

My school did a workshop about it when I was like 10 and I think the amount of care and dedication it takes to hand crafting each and every frame is so cool. When its done well you get a really stylised films, I’m thinking like Chicken Run, Wallace and Gromit, Coraline, Fantastic Mr. Fox, ParaNorman and The Box Trolls all of which I loved as a kid and every time I rewatch them I get the same sense of childlike wonder I did when I watched them the first time. I know there’s a lot of crossover with CGI now when making them but just the concept of stop motion animation is really cool.
