live music freaks unite!!!!!

first blog (⊙_⊙) kinda nervy! we're starting this page off with what I'll probably be using it for the most: random mini-rants about the things I love. and speaking of...I am completely OBSESSED with live music. tiny desk concerts? can't get enough. SNL performances? I study them like poetry. audiotree live? I want to give whoever came up with that idea a big fat smooch. I've talked to a bunch of people who just don't watch their fav artists performing live. and, to each their own, but I think it adds a whole other artistic level to the music. and I personally don't know how I'd live life without my little youtube playlist of all my fav performances. The Slip - Live at Lupo's (And some others)

An official bootleg I'm very happy to own on CD. my favourite band of all time, and their energy in shows is beautiful always, but something about this recording is completely unmatched. It's probably my favourite live album ever. Their back-to-back sets Alivelectric and Aliveacoustic are also very good. Also quite partial to STRFKR's Live from Brooklyn Steel, and Les Rallizes Dénudés only has live albums, but '77 LIVE is a great psych noise rock show. It just now occurred to me that you might be talking about concerts specifically and not just live albums, so I'll also throw in that I saw They Might Be Giants in Ithaca, NY for their Flood 30th anniversary tour and it was a real delight. They pull out so many tricks that I was just wowed by!

The 1975 - 'At Their Very Best' Live from Madison Square Garden

they weren't kidding when they called it "At Their Very Best" also would have recommended Tedeschi Trucks Band - Layla Revisited (Live at LOCKN' 2019) if the whole set was available on Youtube and not just a few songs, but the live album is fantastic!

showering with the lights off

holyyyyy shittt i was geeking last night and forgot to turn on the light before i took a shower i have no idea why but i was using my flashlight as a light source (propped up on the shampoo holder) while i cleansed my body and it was such a magical experience and i was listening to title fight guys i don’t think it gets better than that 2 am hot shower in the dark home alone blasting great music you just know i was having the time of my life trust me on this one guys
