Read this somewhere on TikTok and it really stuck with me. “Just because things could’ve been different, doesn’t mean they would‘ve been better. Romanticize what’s becoming — Not what never did. Let go of the lingering, the doubts. If it didn’t unfold, It wasn’t meant to hold you.” đŸ€

inspired by a convo I had today + Sabrina Carpenter’s speech at a variety event last year (?) I hope this reminder finds anyone who needs it because I know I needed to hear it today (yes I was tweaking out ok) — I know this sounds awfully annoying when you’re in the midst of it all but I hope we find it in ourselves to genuinely fall in love with the process, whatever that means for us as individuals — whether that’s with a craft, goal, or vision etc etc. for me personally i am learning to appreciate the version of myself rn. to expand, the version who is still trying to figure out how showing up authentically looks like for me, feeling v awkward while doing so, but also trying to remember that i will never have her again. i saw this quote also the other day and it really moved me

it‘s a cliche for sure, but in recent years i have become a big believer in every event, good or bad, having some sort of purpose, whether it be a big or little one. i guess this helps me to stay content in the moment because it reminds me that, “hey! i know you might be upset about this thing right now, but it’ll work out. you just have to let it.” i am a big time worrier, and i always want to control situations as much as i can, but i have found that if i just let them play out, they’ll go the way they were meant to. (and if it’s not in a good way, at least it’s a good story). and, honestly, it helps me just remembering what a miracle it is to be alive at all; to have the blessing of living at the same time as the people i love; to feel the sun shine on my face in that very moment. we are so small in the grand scheme of things, but here we are!!! how wonderful is that!!! it’s like in ”vienna”: “slow down, you’re doing fine, you can’t be everything you wanna be before your time.”

going through some similar motions and this measely tiktok comment unironically did like +1000 healing to my psyche. really, the key is to remember you can only do so much at once. overexerting yourself will make you too tired to consume the fruits of your labor. they will rot and/or you will not enjoy them this way. find happiness in the little, fleeting moments you’re able to foster for yourself and bite off only what you can chew. besides, you want to make sure not to do things in haste. you want a solid foundation for future you and your contentment and don’t want to find any cracks in it later down the line

My aunt gave me and my cousins Victorian glass dolls growing up. While they may have been creeped out, I was so excited because it reminded me of the evil doll from The Twilight Zone đŸ€©

If you love psychological horror, Servant by M. Night Shyamalan is sooooo good! its a slow burn at first as you’re getting to know the main characters and their dynamics but it really picks up and had me gasping several times!
