i just cancelled my spotify subscription and went back to apple music…game changer omg. maybe i‘m trying to validate my choice but i feel like the music sounds so much better!

SPOTIFY SUCKS AND YOU SHOULD SWITCH TO APPLE MUSIC AT THE VERY LEAST

for one, they're horribly corrupt and their billionaire CEO is a POS. this is not the focus of my rant, though; my bigger beef is this: he owns one of the biggest music companies in the world and doesn't even care about audio quality! the absolute BEST quality you can get on spotify is a LOSSY MP3 EQUIVALENT and is the same as the LOWEST quality apple offers. Listening to music in lossless on apple compared to spotify's "high resolution" is like night and day. i get people enjoy it for the social aspects but apple has all that too. okay sure you won't know if you're a top .0001% listener of jimmy buttfuck but jesus christ do we need to stat farm this hard i hope spotify dies i will see to it rant over tl;dr spotify sucks and literally anything is a better option if you remotely care about listening to music

I’m gonna level with you. If you’re on pi dot fyi at this time, you’re gonna wanna get off Spotify. Head over to tidal. Audio quality is better than Spotify, they recently reduced their pricing, and if you think “how can I share music with friends” then you can use the new feature that is platform non-specific. Would you like to live deliciously

Flowers for vases/descansos

Hayley Williams’ quarantine project is a blessing to us all. The album is beautiful and completely homemade, which makes it even more incredible. Production is great, her voice is amazing, and it’s — almost — a one-woman show (she had people help her with some parts but still…)

Notes from underground - Dostoevsky

This book is excellently written; the first-person narration and the division between the first part (an explanation of the narrator's philosophical ideas) and the second part (an account of an episode in the narrator's life that put his philosophical ideas to practice) are a great gateway to his later works.
