I started taking some contemporary dance classes very casually, and the magic has caught me - it’s such a communal space filled with people who want to be vulnerable and feel their bodies. I’ve never felt such an innate sense of community and a willingness to let go of judgments and move your body in a way that feels right, not a way that looks good. I leave each class with a better understanding of what my body is capable of and that is a beautiful thing.
