still kind of astonished at the experience I had with this meditation, wherein a six part vivid narrative unfurled smoothly in my mind and I experienced a massive journey and range of emotions more comparable to a psychedelic trip than a meditation session. would love to hear about others experiences with this!! i found it beautiful, interesting, renewing. it’s beautiful and sentimental to visit your inner child from time to time. really felt a lot on this guided meditation. everyone should experience to meet their inner child and give them a big hug.

Jesus fuck. growing up a neurodivergent kid w wavering mental health, a wavering home life, in and out of therapy, etc, you always hear ā€œhave you tried meditatingā€ No Susan I never fucking thought of that thank you for the recommendation Well finally at my big age, I took the leap to start practicing and Jesus fuck. Why was I avoiding this my whole life. I have been so resistant to it because it’s intimidating, it’s not instant gratification every time, and it’s … well scary! What if I mess up. What you mean sitting still for ten or so mins and not thinking. I have always been big into dreams. I’ve wrote down my dreams for as long as I can remember, have books upon books filled, and practice lucid dreaming. It’s kind of like that but without being asleep and without any anxiety inducing scenarios It’s improved a lot of areas in my life in the two short months I have been practicing I’m having fun

I just watched this video on transcendental meditation explained by David Lynch and found it very interesting. It is a good start if you want to learn about how existing actually plays out in your life or just to understand the power of your mind.

ideally i would love to gain the trust and respect of a corvid šŸ¦ā€ā¬› they love to give and receive tiny gifts and i relate to that. goose and swan are also great options though a bit riskier since these guys can get mad as hell and those long necks are powerful i would also love to volunteer at a raptor sanctuary and help take care of falcons, owls, etc. i feel pretty sad and disturbed by most caged birds and having a parrot, for example is a massive emotional responsibility, their lifespans also mean it’s a lifelong commitment, i probably wouldn’t go this route but respect those who do it right 🫔

one of my favorite artists. the sculpture in the photo is in clay but his work includes lots of deer motifs, wood, terracotta, moments from indigenous mythology...
