Man, idk where you live, but those look like ‘acerolas’. This might’ve been like THE find for a caribbean person, which makes this all the more heartbreaking 💔

Red eyed, puffy faced, tear stained sleeves. But the nice man who works at the grocery store is giving out watermelon samples and they taste sweeter than they ever have before. The raspberries are buy 2 for $5, but only buy one. Keep the receipt. Walk and smell the boxes and tins and the perfumes of the mothers passing by. You'll remember who you are soon.

walking home from a locally owned grocery store

feels like a movie - also bonus if you have a bag in each hand it’s like doing a “farmers carry“ exercise the whole walk home - i had to stop a few times bc my grip is not there yet - love it though - we’ll get there
