Merrell Barrados have been my dream shoe recently. Last week, I checked eBay and this pristine pair was listed for $20. This week, I am channeling a suburban mom in her sightseeing walking shoes.
Of course, this perfect for doing anything shoe is no longer in production and requires a little eBay hunting to acquire. A precursor to the popular foraging-centric dad shoe, the Jungle Moc the Orbit Moc has a neoprene upper, making the shoe easy to put on and more attractive on foot. These babies are from the 90s, so the glue is a little touch and go โ don't be angry if they start falling apart after a few wears. It's a little bit of a gamble leveling up your Merrell game.
I specifically made plans this year to be alone on my actual birthday. And itโs been so nice. The best in years, no tears! I got up early to walk around a wildflower garden, tried a new coffee shop. Read a lot. Thrifted. Sushi for dinner and a peach crepe for dessert. The only thing missing was that I never went and celebrated with my favorite paintings at the museum but Iโll have a belated party with them later. Happy birthday to me.
