@ESOTERICPRINCESS especially non english movies and shows! my go-to used to be cinego (still maybe… for mainstream movies/shows) but totally agree with lookmovie2 having a large selection! cinego doesn’t even have anatomy of a fall 😭

@ARAWSCORPIO I definitely agree! Roku also has alot of older non-English stuff I have found German and French films on there with English translations available via captions. I haven’t tried cinego I may have to check it out thanks for the rec!

I've never been into Netflix binges and I've finally found the way I like to watch tv. This combines the whimsy of flipping through channels with the excitement of finding weird old shit on YouTube. There's a billion wacky ass channels—a channel that plays the dick van dyke show 24/7, multiple channels that play old rom coms from the 50s-70s, an antiques roadshow channel. And of course shoutout "grit xtra" for only playing western tv shows from the 40s. also it is FREE on your Roku ??

Which streaming service has the most 80s-90s mainstream movies? I want to love the Criterion Channel, but it’s hard to find things I want to watch. I have a watchlist, but when I browse it I’m thinking, “That sounds good, but I don’t feel like watching it right now”

my current obsession as of late is reading and watching minivan life content. Stealth camping and never paying rent or being stuck anywhere sounds so cool like imagine just having your home be portable and being able to just stay in another town for a weekend purely for the vibes or just camping whenever you feel like it. Obvi a WFH gig would be ideal for this but like the freedom during non workdays also makes it worth it for me. Idk what do you guys think is it worth trying out for a spell some time down the line or maybe I’m being too idealistic and it will be hell haha

Super well written and has been a consistent favorite of mine for years. If you like Kerouac you’ll also like the other beat poets probably. Allen Ginsberg‘s poem Kaddish is in my opinion the best thing he ever wrote. I think it beats howl.
