Super well written and has been a consistent favorite of mine for years. If you like Kerouac you’ll also like the other beat poets probably. Allen Ginsberg‘s poem Kaddish is in my opinion the best thing he ever wrote. I think it beats howl.

Hanif Abdurraqib is my favorite American poet; this is a particular favorite, as well as “The Summer A Tribe Called Quest Broke Up”

Ariana Reines is one of my favorite contemporary poets— Coeur de Lion and Sandbook are two that I recommend often. Hanif Abdurraqib is one of my favorite contemporary poets and essayists; frankly, I would read his grocery lists— his work is incisive and plays with form and poetic structure in ways that are very interesting.

Now that the Red Wheelbarrow memes are extinct in the wild you can enjoy some real gems like "Peace On Earth" and "Danse Russe" Look up some reading of his as well, I mean live performances, and he just SAYS the words in a way I cannot comprehend, no accents pauses or nothing he just SAYS it like it's always been

my current obsession as of late is reading and watching minivan life content. Stealth camping and never paying rent or being stuck anywhere sounds so cool like imagine just having your home be portable and being able to just stay in another town for a weekend purely for the vibes or just camping whenever you feel like it. Obvi a WFH gig would be ideal for this but like the freedom during non workdays also makes it worth it for me. Idk what do you guys think is it worth trying out for a spell some time down the line or maybe I’m being too idealistic and it will be hell haha
