having sleepovers with your friends

i got to spend time with my two oldest friends yesterday (which is a rare occurrence due to none of us living in the same city) and we were reminiscing about sleepovers we had in high school that involved playing catch with cookie dough, watching bad movies, lots of good cries, etc… and reflecting on those times made me think that as adults, we need to be having more sleepovers with our friends! it is so sacred n special to me to share a bed with or sleep in the same room as your friends :,) then you can wake up with them n make breakfast together after a fun night <3

yes I know every chitch has recced sleepovers on here but,,,, damn there is nothing like doing your little wind-down routines together and being domestic with ur bestie, then waking up and right there is the face of someone u love!!! (ok im aware for those with partners this is ur everyday but not for meee)

MEDS!

I’ve been on a med for my ocd for one month as of today! Yippee! And I’m feeling really wonderful. I’ve been anti-med my whole life (because of my ocd i had a massive fear taking meds would fuck up my liver and kill me…lol) but my new and fantastic therapist (another separate rec) has helped me realize that I should try it… and omg LIFE CHANGING. I haven’t had any bad side effects (that I know of?) and have genuinely felt more productive and less anxious. like I can finally go to bed without worrying about my hair rubbing against my pillow, and can take a shower without having to Freak Out about stepping on the dirty floor.. like omg life is awesome and beautiful. People just are like this normally? Crazy. Thank you science and thank you therapy!

PYSANKY!

Easter is a beautiful fun time to try your hand at Ukranian/Polish tradition “Pysanky”—egg decorating! My family is Polish and so we do this often, but it’s so fun to bring new friends along to try it as well! Super wonderful to be able to share cultures :)
