Strawberry shortcake

All I wanted for my birthday this year was a strawberry shortcake. My friend planned to bake but ran out of time, so picked up instead (special shoutout Mia’s Brooklyn Bakery btw, was delicious). Sure I know it’s maaaybe a lil basic for a cake rec, BUT… yummmmm. I ate it for breakfast the next day and the one after that too.

Strawberry shortcake with actual shortcake

The best way to have strawberry shortcake is with the ACTUAL shortcakes (closer to a biscuit than cake). I’m not a huge cake person overall but I’ve especially never loved the “strawberry shortcake” with cake instead of the biscuit like shortcakes. But with those real shortcakes?? 5 stars.

BUCKLING UP

Buckled in this giant thing of popcorn my cousin gave me after our movie on this fine evening. Not only did it keep my buttery perfection safe, But it also made me laugh the entire way home. More buckling up of random things please.

RECORD STORES

Was out and about today and decided to check out my local record shop. Never have I walked into a place with such a strong vibe. The two workers were talking about percussion quality on a specific album while I was thumbing through countless shelves of vinyls. When I asked one of them for recommendations, they asked what I listened to and gave me a few suggestions based off of that. Super cool, great conversations. I'm new to this hobby, but damn is it cool thusfar (Also, yes, this is a generic picture, I didn't manage to snap a photo while I was there)
