@WRYTINGS it’s a bit difficult to explain without getting super specific, so bear with me. he’s a comedian who would propose absurd marketing strategies to real businesses. he would meet these really crazy, naturally hilarious people all the time. by the end of his first show (Nathan for You) i think he began to realize that he can put people in odd situations and create provocative yet unscripted stories. he also developed an alter ego that was awkward and increasingly lonely.
fast forward to now, he seems to be wrestling with the notion that his style of comedy has real-life effects. it’s an odd watch but it’s worth it in my opinion. prepare to be weirded out and get a little emotional at times.
