One of the GOATed movie soundtracks, perfect from end to end. We tend to focus on the aesthetics, storytelling, costuming, and complex relationships in Wes Anderson films, but let’s give our flowers to the music direction too 💐 (I see you Mark Mothersbaugh) If you’re looking for a way to romanticize your life, I highly recommend listening to movie soundtracks, especially when you’re out and about. It lends a sense of gravitas mixed with whimsy, depending on what type of movie score/OST you play. I’m giving The Royal Tenenbaums a spin today in honor of Gene Hackman, another GOAT.
Sucker for soundtracks. Cuz u know the composer or director compiling it put it together with such a vision, among other reasons. This is of course salient in wes Andersons films which Ive aleays been enamored by.. so gbh soundtrack atm as I explore the saas fee village of Switzerland.. but his other soundtracks like Royal Tenenbaum’s (mark mothersbaugh‘s genius) and Darjeeling limited also HIT
Such an incredible and underrated artist, discovered them through one of their older posts on here and I’m shocked that they aren’t more popular. Such a perfect mix between poetry and singing that is Grammy worthy.
