this film is one of my all time favorites, and fits the criteria of what you’re looking for wonderfully!! full of longing, heartache, lush fields and pruned gardens. and beautiful people, of course
went today and it was so magnificent in full picture!! every scene was shot so beautifully and it was funnier than i remember. everyone's actually dumb and silly, i was cackling at the dialogue.
i don’t feel like i need to explain this. I’ve watched this movie once a week since i was 13. so stunning, so comforting. And what a superbly featured room and what excellent boiled potatoes Matthew Macfayden i know you’re reading this - i go to BAT for you babe. when i watch this movie with my friends i say “omg look isnt he so hot!” And they say “…” which is hateful. You have bewitched me body and soul and i love i love i love you
I wish I could re-rec with an image but this is in reply to @MARIAMARIA’s rec. I had to dig way back in my photos to 2022 and find the clay cow tools I made. Unfortunately, I abandoned them so they never got fired but maybe I’ll re-visit the project once I can afford pottery classes again.
