ever since i could read and write i’ve used poetry as a means of self expression but largely kept it to myself. decided why not make a separate substack channel for poems, maybe a little short fiction and whatever other experiments i feel don’t fit my main publication.
I've always been a hater of the wave of mediocre poetry that followed the cultural phenomena Milk and Honey. For fear of my vulnerability coming off as cringe, my own amateur poetry has stayed buried a long time. But I finally purged my notes app and made a little zine-

*self promo. i like sharing my substack on this site bc i fear this is the only place full of people who read. i’m in the process of revamping (doing away with the monthly strictly music stuff) but i essentially link pop culture, art and feminist praxis. working on an essay rn that i hope to have out by the end of the month.
two women next to me on the train are having an insightful heart to heart. a guy behind me is clearly flirting with this girl and you can tell it’s mutual. we all have rich, rich inner lives :)
