I think the summer should be the time to reinvent yourself. Whether it be by changing your appearance, your mentality, or your approach to things; or even just by gaining a new hobby. There’s no better time than the summer, I feel like that season is just brimming with endless possibilities, endless ways for growth and I love it! Go out and have fun! Discover yourself. Here’s a picture that brings me a lot of nostalgia for some reason

I used to not be a fan of Summer (even though I was born in June.) I hated way the heat felt on my skin, the tan lines that showed up on the side of my face because of my glasses, and the sticky feel and sour smell of my sweat. Now Winter... Winter was my girl. Warm lattes, big puffy jackets, rainy days. Absolutely loved. But as I got older...I don't know--I think Summer is superior. I mean of course, Winter has snow, Christmas, NYE, etc. But this year, I'm actually looking forward to hot summer days. I think I'll just dress properly for it this time...and keep a fan on me.

its the start of summer! the semester is over and i feel free to enjoy myself, my friends are free to hang out before going home for the summer, and i don’t start work until the end of the month so i have time to kill by reading my book on the warm hill outside my house and to go to the playground and to ride my bike downtown. everything feels new and lovely, and my birthday is in may so i’m one year older and living it up

As dearly as I love the summer, I feel like there’s a pressure to it. A pressure to live the boldest and most spontaneous life. Living in summer feels so fast paced; it’s almost competitive. Like you HAVE to be the person to travel the furthest distance to the coolest city. “Who can have the best summer? How many people can I make envy me?” I am ready for rest. Bye bye summer!

Yea yea I know that's the most corny, most BORING answer but it's the truth. Today, my friends and I drove 30-45 mins just to go to wingstop. Why? Because we had never tried it before. It was a long endeavor, but now I will always have those memories with me. Don't be afraid to try things, especially the stupid little things; I find that those are the ones worth living for.

I just left my 9:35 lecture feeling down and tired, to my utter surprise I see the MOST beautiful, mysterious lady standing outside the building. Smoking a cheeky cig. I LOVE IT. #icondonehotwomensmokingcigs

"Maybe you can be multiple things, and they can all be true". I just finished reading a letter that a friend of mine wrote. Unfortunately, as it stands right now, we aren't talking that often but we did send each other letters. I am so sentimental that sometimes I will miss dearly the feelings someone gave me, the emotions that coursed through my body as I talked to them. Not necessarily the person. It sucks sometimes because it's not something that you can easily find consolation for. These people I share sentimentality with were often not good for me, but there were times where they made me feel happy. My little two cents on this is: let yourself revel in the feeling, but also remind yourself of the people currently in your life who deeply love and care for you. Feelings hurt, but feelings are good.
