i have loved this band for years i’m devastated that they’re going on indefinite hiatus bc they are so unbelievably lovely just wonderful wonderful musicians and people. i cannot recommend it enough there’s not a bad song on the whole album

I saw them live with my best friend, Bean. It was a smaller venue (not the smallest). They played mostly their newer (at the time) songs from the album Pollen, but I recommend going back in time to Cape Dory and making your way through all the albums to Pollen. If you have time and energy to. The single, Marathon, was on apple iTunes’ free music thursdays (??? miss it though/was it even thursdays) and little mickey found it and downloaded it in 2012. I don’t even think I had an iPod then. But I’ve been listening to them ever since. At the show I went to with Bean, they had a little Q&A and they talked about soulmates (it’s a wife and husband duo), how they don’t believe in them, but they still think finding each other was fate. Can’t recommend this band enough.

omg why am i so alone here!!! i love them SOOO MUCH i just saw them live finally and was blissed tf out and amped and happy!! their newer (past 6 or so years) stuff is their best work imo and people only remember them from the target commercial but they genuinely just keep getting better. marching band indie rock ska ?? i’m crying because it’s over

⭐Is This It might be the catchiest indie rock record ever. Every single note is so calculated. Even the breath's and coughs just fit perfectly. They were billed as the "Saviors of Rock and Roll" but they kinda killed it because no one has put out anything on the level of their debut since. Not even them. They also just looked perfect for their sound. A perfectly packaged band delivering a perfect product for young people and people who wish they were still young....even a quarter century later.
