i think it had it's moment of fame back in the day but it's still underrated. so much love has been put into this website and it's just such a fun thing to get addicted to for a few days (months)

An in-browser toybox OS that has a bunch of fun stuff packed into it. I probably haven't seen everything on it even though I've known about it for a few years. Used to host myspace93 which was one of my favorite social sites in high school lmao.

This is the only website that I ever truly stumbled upon and kept using. A total relic of the forum era. Anonymous ask and answer, forum, some extremely homemade but fun games, and collaborative pixel art. I have no clue at all how many people use this site, it could be 25 or 3,000. It still feels like a place to go online, and it was really important to me as a forum without the stakes of permanence and publicity that make the modern social internet feel so hostile.

I used to enjoy this one in middle school. Hope it’s still a thing!

i have a little journal i use to write whatever i want in there☺️i think most of it can be boiled down to things that inspire me, but i put whatever i think to in there: quotes from what im reading, lists of things i like to think about or want to learn about. lists of names i like. lists of things i would like to do in minecraft. Great alternative to doomscrolling! just make lists. leaves me so much more fulfilled

Nature is so beautiful and the human desire to create meaning is so beautiful and rivers are such a peak embodiment of both!! looking at any significant river gives you so much history! just think about how the Mississippi river was a direct witness to the american industrial revolution! the history part is so fun but from that stems the symbolic meaning we assign to the things that sustain us, think how engrained the Nile is in Egyptian Mythology, the phrase 'crossing the Rubicon,' etc etc!!!! rivers are such an underrated CLASSIC piece of humanity and you can get nerdy and weird with it one of my favorites is the Colorado because of Fallout: New Vegas and I also love the Amazon because of it's geological history related to the Andes mountains <3. my favorite thing to do instead of paying attention in class is learn about rivers. rivers cuomo is cool too
