it’s one of the most impressive paintings i’ve seen in person. there’s a bench right in front and the work itself allows you to get lost in it’s setting so easily. It becomes difficult to tell how much time passes.

i always enjoyed this painting, but it's a piece that made me appreciate seeing art in person because the scale of it is so striking and adds so much.

She Lives at the met. As a kid I used to hold full conversations with her…. I adore her sightless eyes and all the angels hidden in the trees

Saw this painting at an antique store a few months ago and I think about it almost every day and regret not buying it. Would love to see the world through her eyes!
