I’ve started to meal prep cookie dough in my freezer so I can just bake a cookie or two fresh when I want it. Game changer! I follow BA’s recipe with some changes like, less sugar and butter, and freezing before baking. It doesn’t come out as flat. Then a lil ice cream on the side, *chef’s kiss* Van Leeuwen ice cream actually tastes special, the pretty packaging isn’t deceiving!

Want freshly baked cookies on demand? Next time you make cookies, double the recipe and freeze half — future you will thank past you! Heres how i freeze my dough: 1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then portion out each cookie as directed by your recipe. Fill the entire tray with dough balls and stick that sucker in the freezer for a couple of hours. 2. Once the dough balls are frozen, you can dump them all in a zip lock bag. Don’t forget to write the bake time and temp on it! We’re making this as easy as possible for cookie deprived you of the future. 3. Profit! You now have warm cookies any time, any day! You don’t even need to defrost the dough, just stick those frozen baddies right on a lined baking sheet and toss in your preheated oven. You might need to add a few extra minutes to the bake time but they’ll come out perfectly I promise! 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪

A cookie that's measurements are easy, but steps are attention-seeking. Browning the butter so much that you might burn it if you're not attentive. Cooling said browned butter. Thoughtful incorporation of dry and wet ingredients. Then a 24 hour wait time! Worth it and a way to trick the brain into getting a dopamine hit from patience. Look how good and patient I was! And then you are rewarded with a Very Good cookie. 100/100

Something fairly easy, but super delicious and rewarding to eat. (Cutting into fun shapes is necessary) I used 3 cups water, 2 1/2 cups of vinegar, 2 tsp of salt, and 2 tsp of sugar for the brine. (I like mine a bit on the sweeter side, but I’ve heard sugar is optional) The fun part is the customization of what veggies you want in there. My choice was cucumber, radish, daikon, red onion, and carrot. The final touches to help with flavoring were garlic, pepper corn, dill, and Thai chilis. (highly recommend the chilis if you like a lil spice) I wonder what combo I‘ll try next.

This movie made me cry so much when I watched it the first time. It reminded me that I’m human!

This is partially inspired by an anti-rec I saw on here and a conversation with a friend. Lol I’m here to defend gift cards as a gift! I seriously love them! I grew up in a not so financially stable household and I’m still in my mid twenties, so spending anything literally on myself that’s not groceries or housing, I feel guilty for! So when my boss, after a conversation we had about how I like going to the movies for fun, got me a movie theater gift card for Christmas, I was actually so hyped. Movie theater tickets are expensive and sometimes not in my budget, but she granted me that experience without any doubt. It was so fun. I took my partner and his little sister. Another example, my friend is an athlete and loves getting massages and trips to the chiropractor so she loves getting gifted a gift card to those clinics. Another example, I told my sister that my “down bad” meal was Mendocino Farms. I would order it everytime I was having a bad day. We’re besties and couldn’t hang out cause of living in different cities. If she were to get me a gift card to Mendocino Farms, I would’ve literally cried. It would’ve showed that she cared for me, even at my lowest. Another example, I have a friend who has to commute to work and tends to eat out often. He says chipotle is his favorite and is aligned with his training/diet. So naturally, he was happy when he got gifted a chipotle card. Of course a general target/visa gift card is wack, but a gift card with context? ;) *chef’s kiss* At the end of the day, gifts are lovely and it always matters about intent!
