hello! im going to try and start this new series where i just try things. idk sometimes i forget to try so im trying harder to remember to try. you get it. anyway, my 4/20 plans with friends fell through so i thought id just spend an entire day on my own and i saw that manila zoo was recently renovated and people are hyping it up so i thought i'd go and see what's going on there. i heard they had a tiger and an elephant so im excited to see em up close on my way 𖦹 took a blinker and plugged in my airpods. my airpods were so loose the entire ride omg it was hell 𖦹 i rode a moto-taxi and at first i thought i would have died of heat but it was actually very fun. it was windy and the sun felt nice. the driver kept asking me if i wanted a jacket or anything to cover my arms but i refused!!! not when the sun was kissing me!!! 𖦹 taking a blinker was not enough, i should have taken two the aviary cafe 𖦹 the cafe is inside the zoo so it was very convenient. i ordered pasta, some ice cold water, and their peacock soda. pasta was amazing, although a touch too salty for my taste. peacock soda was sooo good. it was not that sweet and it had just the right amount of carbonation i could handle without having eaten anything prior. ice cold water always slaps, 10/10 - top choice on the menu 𖦹 ate a whole cookie and spent about an hour in the cafe just to wait for it to hit. but it didnt and i wanted to get out of there already lol. for future reference, i should eat the cookie before leaving my house 𖦹 couldnt finish my pasta so i had it packed and i ate it when i got home c: yum manila zoo 𖦹 it was renovated, alright. the place was a freaking maze. i couldnt understand the map AT ALL because it didnt have 'you are here' markers and im not good with navigation ˙◠˙ 𖦹 i can list down every animal i saw from memory and this is saying a lot because i have the most terrible memory: two tigers, one lion, one capybara, a whole bunch of peacocks and storks, one zebra, one ostrich, two deers, and at least ten turtles 𖦹 i think i expected too much because of the hype. i mean, the renovation looks amazing. but there are not a lot of animals there. the lizard enclosures were also empty and i didnt even see the giraffe!!!!!! 𖦹 the aviary was so cool, i think that's the place i liked the most overall, this was a 6 out of 10. the windy walk under the sun while being surrounded and shaded by trees was a very enjoyable experience, possibly my favorite part of the entire day. i wish there were more animals!!!!!!! but maybe the problem is that i was expecting too much. oh and my edible did NOT hit at all the entire time i was there, and i was there for about 2 hours. weird
