i feel like jpeg has been pretty mid in the last year of releases and even though technically this also falls under that umbrella i just love looped samples
This album will always hold a special place in my heart as my introduction to R&B. Daniel Caesar sings beautiful lyrics over beautiful instrumentals. Every feature is natural and the pacing is great. To me, this isn’t just a no-skip album, it’s perfect the whole way through.
Joe Balaz is a wizard. The connection between Pidgin and the pigeons around Hawaiʻi is familiar, but the idea that English, and I guess all languages, are pidgins is so beautiful to me. I guess wit such wun wide blue sky everyting deserves to fly.
