Having body confidence is a big one for me too!
I want to start posting my body more, for sure. I saw Lola Young post a Tik Tok of her in a bikini in Mexico and it’s so inspiring! She looks natural & amazing!
Mine favourite compliment was given yesterday when I was performing at a huge festival in Wales. It was a small stage, I only did one set and I forgot some of the lyrics to my first 2 songs which are only half baked. But the third song got a lot of attention 🥰 Two ladies came up to me & said I was the Welsh Beyoncé 🥳 Said they feel like they’d witnessed a star in the making. Slowly building the confidence to do the main stage of the next festival!
I didn’t pursue my music career until I was 30, self doubt got in the way, being bullied… trauma, anxiety & the fear of being seen. It’s a very vulnerable space being an artist. It’s also hard work!
But I told myself I wouldn’t be happy in life unless I did it. And now I can say I’m a solo, performing artist at major festivals 🥹😍

So many emotions. So much vulnerability put out into the world to share with others.
Fear of being seen… judgement.
Sometimes it’s totally miserable and it’s hard to believe that someone else could enjoy or relate to that feeling and that music.
But, I have to remember that one persons pain is another’s pleasure in some strange way and that we all need to be sad and embrace that feeling sometimes.
Being a songwriter is about being able to say or convey feelings and experiences in a way that someone knew they felt, but couldn’t express! It’s about connection and letting others knew they are not alone.
I’ve always loved hearing a song and thinking “that’s exactly how I feel! I couldn’t have put those words and that imagery together better myself”! It‘s amazing when we can hop on someone else’s frequency and their emotional-visual experience.
