a decade in the making this beautiful exploration of club music in the pop space with haunting vocals by the one and only Nadia Ali easily one of my favorite albums of all time. no skips ever.
I feel a lot of ppl overlook this one when it comes to NYC dance - Rapture itself was huge but this whole album has so many bangers and Nadia’s voice on ever track is like honey. this took years to come out but it’s still my go to album I know il put it on and enjoy it so much.
this is one of my all-time favorite albums and is def a no skip. the way kelela moves through a devastating break up and finds power in her vulnerability and sadness is genius. i will never stop rinsing this idfcccc
idk what i can say to hype this up other than its so good. my friend put me on this one recently and i’m so sad i wasn’t on top of it earlier. the disco remix of “the afterparty” is insanely good. the album overall has an intimate sort of nostalgia while still being an ambitious work that feels complete.
